New York State Office for the Aging

The New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) is responsible for helping older New Yorkers with independence as long as possible through programs and services that support and older adults and their families. The New York State Office for the Aging promotes and administers programs and services for New Yorkers 60 years of age and older and people of all ages with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers.  The New York State Office for the Aging provides these services by providing information and assistance through the NY Connects system and by supporting home and community-based long term care through (EISEP) and Community Services for the Elderly (CSE) programs. In addition the New York State Office for the Aging provides information to individuals in long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes, through the state Long Term Care Ombudsman program.
